This is a mural I spotted behind the local “Railway Hotel” in Greymouth. Painted by local artist Mark Haldane aka Raja it depicts Winnie the Pooh and friends along with Garfield. Not sure why it’s there, but the rest of the building has now been painted black so no doubt this will also be painted over soon at some point.
This week is going to be interesting for us, a colleage that my daughter works with has broken up with her partner and we are looking after her 2 cats for 2 weeks while she moves house. The poor babies will probably be wondering what is going on. I don’t think my 4 cats will be very impressed though so it’s going to be interesting trying to keep a handle on them all…

Winnie, or Nalle Puh in swedish, is one of the nicest and cutest bears in the world of fairy tales 😀 I really like him and his friends.
I hold my thumbs for the little cats and hopefully they will make friends with your cats.
Garfield looks “out of place” to me, combined with the characters from Winnie the Pooh!
