It’s not often I see new style apartments like this but I guess Auckland City has grown to the point where these are now pretty much everywhere. People need somewhere to live right?
As many of you have probably guessed, I’m a bit of a gardener. I ended up finding some Crown Pumpkin seedlings at our local Warehouse so planting them at this time of year is crucial so they will be ready for Autumn. Last year I grew 6, we kept 2 and gave the others away to friends. I’ve also got 2 of my regular customers that come into my work who I have been swapping herbs and rose cuttings with so I plan to plant the roses next to my vegetable garden in the full sun. Photos to come once they flower…
And another customer at my work sold me some Venison that they had so we have some sausages in the freezer but we cooked up the strips into a stir fry and it was nice but probably not something I would eat regularly.
Linking up with Weekend Reflections and Weekend Roundup.
Nice capture of a sunny street!
Apartments are getting more expensive too
I enjoyed the style too!
Beautiful header shot. My stepson married a lady from New Zealand, but can’t remember the city’s name. Love listening to her accent. I would enjoy seeing some summer shots of your plantings, as we are getting ready for raking leaves followed by snow. Have a wonderful weekend.
Somehow “new style” apartment blocks seem rather alike all over the world (while older buildings often seem to differ a bit more from one country to another…)
Housing is always a problem in a city, so these apartment buildings serve a need. The question is, “Are they affordable?” I expect not so much.
Those apartments look very nice.
I like the look of those apartments. Hope they are affordable for the people who need them. Enjoy your day, Amy.
