This is one of 3 places in town that sell cellphones. I can’t believe the prices of the new ones that come out regularly, why would you spend that much money? I do need a new one at some point as mine is a couple of years old and doesn’t get the emergency notifications in case of an emergency but it is going to have to wait and I won’t be spending loads of money either.

The billionaires would like us to think that “rare materials” are currently especially sparse and hence the astronomical prices, but then they also “buy back” and recycle our old phones and profit off them too. It’s the modern (crime) story of stuff, sigh.

I also have a basic iPhone, without all the bells and whistles of the latest, unaffordable models. I’ll have to replace it in a year or two, and then I’ll get another basic model.

My cellphone is 6 or 7 years old and as long as it works it will stay with me. I don´t need a new one as long as the updates work. And when it´s time for a new on it will not cost too much.
Mobiles here can go into the thousands of euros. I ask the same question. Who on earth buys one at that price. Any new phone I’ll be buying will be under 200 euros, with camera which is essential . What else do you need that could sts so much
